The Chrysalis Wrap
The Chrysalis wrap is a simple, half pi shawl utilizing an open texture stitch that when blocked, gives this wrap a breathable fabric. Utilizing small micro stripes and sequential increases, this pattern is a wonderful project for creating a uniquely shaped and wearable transition piece. I recommend picking a deeply saturated semi solid paired with a pastel or lighter variegated yarn. Wet blocking your swatch for this project is highly recommended. This pattern is available as an electronic download ONLY. Digitial files will be downloaded at time of receipt.
Tools: Circular Knitting Needles, US 5, 3.75mm or size needed to obtain gauge.
Yarn: Two contrasting yet complimentary fingering weight yarns. Each skein should be at least 100g/437 yards. Sample shown in La Bien Aimee Twist Nouveau, 100g/437yards in ‘Howl and Sophie’ (MC) and La Bien Aimee Twist Nouveau, 100g/437 yards in ‘Bleu Royal’ (CC).
Pattern Note: It is important to wet block your gauge swatch for this project to identify appropriate needle size. By wet blocking your swatch, you are also able to see the growth that occurs with this pattern’s open stitch.
